| WORLD MISSION SUNDAY 2008 –
ARCHDIOCESAN EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION
This year, the Archdiocese celebrated World Mission Sunday with the “Bringing the Light and hope of Christ to the World”. The Archdiocesan Eucharistic Celebration for World Mission Sunday was held on Sunday 19th October 2008, at the Cathedral of Good Shepherd, Singapore 18853.
Main celebrant, His Grace Archbishop Nicholas Chia, who also presented the prizes to the winners of first-ever Mission Photography Competition.
As is usual, members from the international community, which this year included itinerant workers, were invited to participate in the Mass – in the Offertory Procession and Prayers of the Faithful respectively.
Children from the international community in their national dress brought up candles and glow sticks during the Offertory Procession. Some younger children, carrying glow-sticks were very reluctant to surrender their glow-sticks to His Grace but did so after they were assured they would get them back after Mass.
